A message from SSEU Local 371 President Anthony Wells

Mr. Wells has a message for members this week after news emerged of the horrific treatment of three-year-old Jaden Jordan, who was allegedly beaten into a coma by his mother's boyfriend. ACS workers rushed to the scene after an anonymous phone call but were given the wrong address.

Once again the media and others seek to blame ACS workers for the injury of a child. They ignore the facts and the hard work that our members do, day in and day out. But we will not be defined by them or anyone. It is a tragedy whenever a child is injured or killed at the hands of adults responsible for their care and safety. However our members save and protect thousands of children and their families. And we will continue to do so, in spite of the many challenges we face everyday. Thank you ACS workers and all civil servants for the work you do.

-Anthony Wells-
